William Gordon, son of William CRAWFORD and Annie THOMPSON and grandson of James CRAWFORD of Belfast and Ellen Ferguson, married in 1896, Florence Jane Montgomery (born circa 1871 died 2nd August 1947, buried at Drumbeg, Co Down, third daudhter of Thomas Montgomery of Ballydrain, Dunmurry, Co Antrim. They had two sons.

He was a Director of the Belfast Banking Co. from 1888
