Born 1 Jan 1801 Died circa 1855 aged about 54 years |
It should be noted that the picture is presumed to be mislabelled. William was never married to an Elizabeth Cooke (see William's page for the assertion made by his son William "He was twice married, first to my Mother Mary Bordman, who died in the latter part of the year 1797 and secondly to Mary Uniacke. " Since the other portraits in the set at Cork show Father and siblings, I am assuming that this is the daughter Elizabeth and as there is no other image of Elizabeth that this must be she.
Elizabeth, daughter of William of Cork and Mary Uniack, it can be assumed, died unmarried, since her Will, dated 1855, was made in the name of CRAWFORD.
Elizabeth is listed as being of Florida Manor and 15 Lower Mount Street, Dublin, these two addresses being those of Mary and Robert Gordon and Louisa and Arthur, respectively, so presumably, as a maiden sister she lived alternately with each couple
Elizabeth's legatees are 'sisters' Louisa, Mary, Jane, Mary Ann and Mabel, and brothers Henry, Robert and George. (William 'the Younger', the only other of whom I can find record in adulthood, would already have been dead by then.)
Also legatees, (two brothers-in-law and a nephew) : Louisa's husband Arthur Johnson Sharman-Crawford and their son William Henry, and Robert Gordon, husband of Mary
Robert Gordon and Arthur J. Sharman Crawford were the Executors.
