Captain Arthur CRAWFORD, of Bloomfield Co Down and of Donegall Street and Clarence Place Belfast, son of James CRAWFORD and Mabel JOHNSTON, married in 1794, by Connor Diocesan Licence, Theodosia, daughter of James WADDELL of Springfield, Co Antrim, and they had four sons, starting the lines of Belfast and New Orleans.
Arthur was sometime Captain Madras Establishment, Hon East India Company and later Major, Bangor Regiment of Volunteers.
He died and was buried in Belfast - New (presbyterian) Burying Ground, Clifton Street.
Arthur Crawford's Will was dated 2 May 1833 and proved in the PCI ? 2nd June 1833 by John Twinly (?Turnly) of Rockport Co Down and William Sharman-Crawford of Crawfordsburn.
