He married Catherine Campbell LUNDIE of Edinburgh who was born c 1790 and died 20th November 1865, aged 75. (She was buried at Knockbreda).

Arthur and Catherine had at least six children including Hugh, Andrew H., Rev Archibald, William J., Elizabeth and another daughter who married John RUSSELL

He died, aged 41 years, at Douglas, Isle of Man on the 23rd February 1825.

Letters of Administration were first granted to his widow, Catherine on 1/5/1827, by the Consistory Court of Down and Connor; a regrant of residual personal estate was made 21st June 1867 to Andrew CRAWFORD his then eldest surviving son.
